[DMTU-News] TU Stocking Saturday at Noon

Members,

Bill Kracht fed our fish in the fly stretch this morning. He reports that
the flood we had last week has changed where the fish have been holding. He
said the flood was significant and nearly reached the road near the bridge
pool.

When he fed today he found a few takers at the falls, none at the flat rock,
a few above and below the bridge, none in the riffle below the bridge, none
in the pools below the riffle all the way to the Sycamore tree, some in the
mud hole and some in the tar pit, but none below the tar pit.

So, it seems that we should bucket from the falls to the bridge pool and
float down from there to the big pool on the other side of the road.

Anyone fishing this week, please check it out and let us know what you
think.

See you Saturday at noon!

tim

Subject: [DMTU-News] Fw: Announcement for Tree Planting Saturday November
3rd

  Greetings members,

I wanted to let everyone know the annual Autumn club stocking of Ridley
Creek will take place this Saturday November 3, 2007 at 12:00PM. We will be
meeting the truck at the parking lot near the DHFFO section. Our plan is to
stock from the lower lot down to Dismal Run. If you can help out with
stocking, please attend. We appreciate all the assistance we get. Also,
Anne Murphy of CRC has asked for our assistance at 9:00 AM on the same date
in Brookhaven to assist with a Boy Scout going for his Eagle designation.
If anyone can help out CRC, please follow the directions below. I plan on
making it to the CRC event at least until 10:30 AM then I will be driving
over to Ridley Creek for the stocking. All help and assistance is greatly
appreciated. I look forward to seeing our members on Saturday hopefully at
both events.

  Thanks,

  Dave

  Dave

The stream and open space access is a parking lot tio the right at the
curve in Meadowbrook Rd. If that is full , then they could plant along the
road. I would ask the TU volunteers to come at 9 AM unless they have a
truck, in which case they can help transport the trees which will be stored
at the municipal garage at the corner of Brookhaven Rd and Bridgewater. If
anyone has a truck and is coming, please let me know, and ask them to meet
there at 8 AM because at present we don't have one that I know of., do we
Dylan? I will have my cell phone on me 610-470-6960.

Here are the directions: Take Rt 352 south from Baltimore Pike, Cross
through light at Brookhaven Rd. A few streets down on your left is
Meadowbrook Rd. There is a smal green sign that says Meadowbrook Shopping
Center before it. Go to the end until you see the lot off to your right.

The municipal garage - for the person with the truck - is at Brookhaven
( make a right off of 352) and Bridgewater - on your left.

I will have my cell phone on my 610-470-6960.

  Anne Murphy

  Anne,

Can you provide me a specific meeting place for this event so I can alert
the TU members.

  Thanks,

  Dave
